Alcoza is a world entirely unlike our own, and it is in turmoil under the reign of King Hashim, and is still on its knees after a bloody war with the neighboring country of Zanzhara. The nobility is as corrupt as its king, and the peasants and commoners are more destitute than ever. The slave trade is at its height and life couldn't be more chaotic. Azim's attempt at revolt is hanging dangerously on the edge of disaster.
Choose your side...This could get ugly.

Constance Marie « Thread Started on Feb 13, 2008, 3:06pm »
what you really need to know;
Name:; Constance [Con; Connie {I wouldn't call her this}] Marie Mathews Age; 26 Gender; Female Loyalty/character type; Rebels Picture; N/A
look at me;
Style; Boy-ish Eyes; Emerald Green Hair; Red, Strawberry Skin; Gentle Tan Overall Appearance;Constance looks pretty normal. She's 5' 10" tall and, looking at her you'd place her around 120-130 pounds. Her hair is a nice red color though it isn't an orange red, it's more of a strawberry red. Her eyes are a magnificent emerald green. Her skin is a nice neutral tone. Not very pale, but not extremely tan. She's got a soft natural tan. Her build is small, but not extremely, she's athletic. She has to be with all the running and moving she must to do keep safe. She'll eat pretty much anything that's available to her. Her hair is short and cut as if she were a boy. The purpose of her overall appearance is so she looks like a guy.
Con will generally be found in her long-sleeved tunic, made from simple cloth, that reaches just below her knees. However this can differ. She has a few different things that she carries with her. One is another slightly loose fitting and long sleeved tunic. It's made out of durable brown cloth. Another is a deep green, a very nice long sleeved tunic, she will wear this for special occasions. And the other is red-ish, a shorter, vest type shirt, that pulls over a tunic, made from the pelt of a deer, that she doesn't really wear that often. She only has her black knee high leather army boots for shoes that she wears all the time. Also she possesses an older army uniform from the ECHO force. She has a hat, a beret-type hat, that holds a feather in the side, a feather from her best friend that he gave to her one birthday. She also has a pack that holds everything she needs. It has a buttoned area as well as an open area to hold her arrows. It's light and only filled with necessities because she needs to be able to take it and run off quickly. She has two rings that she wears on her left hand, one on her ring finger and the other on her middle finger. The one on her middle finger is a thin silver ring with a knot on the top. The other one is the same style but just folds over on the top.
One thing she is never without is her bow and a few hand carved arrows. She is an excellent shot, but not near great. She practices as much as she can though. It's her only true sport, unless you count being a master thief/spy as a sport.
what do you think;
Likes; Nature; Outdoors; Swimming when no one's around; conversing in French with an ally Dislikes; the monarchy; men; smiling Fears; being found a woman; cliffs; large groups Hobbies; practicing with her bow; horseback riding; swimming Personality; Constance is a mysterious person, she keeps her intentions very private. Don't dare question her, she knows exactly what she is doing. A skilled fighter she is, and a strong one too you wouldn't want to find yourself in the position of prey for her anger. She is a skilled fighter yes, but there are those better, much better. One thing no one is better than her at is sneaking. She knows how to keep herself hidden, and well. Okay there may be some who are better, but not many. This is her profession. She's sneaky, some may go as far as 'Con-Artist'. She doesn't consider herself as that, not anymore. She gathers information for the group she is loyal to now. she is certainly a rebel. She is much aware of the oppression of women and how they are not considered as good as men. this is something she refuses to give into and is why she decided to go out and join the rebel band in the first place.
She keeps to herself, most assuming she's just anti-social. She certainly is, but also she pays great attention to what is going on around her and has an excellent memory for things that she sees. She is happy though. She loves who she is and what she does, and there is nothing she would change about herself. She doesn't smile often though, it makes her look more feminine and she can't have that. Often you'll find her with simply a straight face. Her voice carries a thick French accent, as this is her first language. It helps her give that manly appearance she is looking for, because it is much easier for her to sound like a guy speaking English with a French accent than speaking French. She speaks fluent English though.
what's done is done;
Family; Conrad [Father; Killed]; Suzanne [Mother; Killed] History;(several paragraphs. if your character is young, it will understandably be rather short, but if your character is older, this should be a little lengthy.)
Constance was born to a pair of french settlers. Her father’s name was Conrad he was a blacksmith as well as a master thief [for anyone who would pay], and her mother’s name was Suzanne and she helped her father with his business. Constance never got to see her mother. She died during birth. Conrad had no idea how Constance would live without milk. He did however know of a way to save her, but it would break his heart. There was a man whose wife had given birth to a stillborn child. She could give Constance milk and love. Conrad was confident that she would see the him again and he would see her. He left the newborn Constance with the man and left, continuing his business with hired help. Confused and hungry when Constance felt the breast of the woman against her mouth she drank. It was food, food. She lived with the couple until she was 6 years old.
Conrad had waited, always keeping close to the couple and he was there the day Constance was let free. He was the first thing she saw upon entering the town. “Ma fille!” He said proudly hugging her. She took in his scent and a small alarm went off in her head. Yes, she recognized this sweet scent from long ago. “Pepe!” She exclaimed and leapt into his arms. This joyous reunion lasted for a while but soon they were off and Constance was ready to learn the ropes. Don’t get me wrong, Conrad had tried to stop her from following in his footsteps. Conrad and his lady had once been the best spies in the forests. Many a person would reward them for gathering information. They were great at hiding who they really were and they put on a convincing act as well as keeping silent. This was what Conrad trained his daughter to do. When she reached 10 years old Conrad let her come with him when he went off on the missions. She learned quickly and did well, never giving herself or her father away.
This continued for another year but of course all things happy in any good story must come to an end. Yes, her father had gone out on his own for one particularly dangerous mission. He had left Constance with the people he was working for. The people were welcoming to Constance and treated her like family. Two days passed and the family was getting worried, but Constance, of course she was worried, but her worry had started long before. Her father had never taken over a day on a mission. Or if it would he would always return home. She was welcomed by the family to stay as long as it took. Three days passed and the family was going about their chores and were ambushed. The men confronted each other and her father’s body was brought with them. The other man threw him to the ground and the fight began. Constance in utter silence crept in and retrieved her father’s body. She brought him away from the fight and buried him on the outskirts of the wood. She lied above him for the night and come morning it was time for her to leave, to carry on her family’s reputation.
She went about from family to family doing the duties never staying for long and always getting a hefty reward. Her father had been called The Con for his name could be shortened to Con. He had wanted her to continue his legacy. He had made this clear by giving her the name Constance, which also shortens to Con. She now is known to many packs as The Con. Amazingly though she gets by, no one can truly say what The Con looks like, she always looks different.
She decided not long ago to join the rebels in their fight against the monarchy and has hidden with them, disguised as a man for a few months.
just one more thing;
Other; If you decide to allow shifters, I'd like to change her around because she's originally a wolf, but also a were at another site. Also I hope every thing's alright.... Additional; vazara

ACCEPTED For future refference, however, the army boots and uniform thing is a little out of times. the army would wear sandals and tunics, their uniforms being a mix between a roman legion and a knight. That, however, is a very minor detail, so you don't have to modify your post....just know that for future posting. :] the clothing thing is apparently a bit confusing...I need to find a way to clear that up a bit i think. :P
