Alcoza is a world entirely unlike our own, and it is in turmoil under the reign of King Hashim, and is still on its knees after a bloody war with the neighboring country of Zanzhara. The nobility is as corrupt as its king, and the peasants and commoners are more destitute than ever. The slave trade is at its height and life couldn't be more chaotic. Azim's attempt at revolt is hanging dangerously on the edge of disaster.

The Hypolian Sea A long, narrow stretch of waters that are anything but placid. The Hypolian Sea marks the northernmost part of Alcoza's boundary with Zanzhara. The surrounding area is usually green, the beach excepted, and the sky is rarely blue. Storms are more than common on these shores, and a sail across the sea, though not remarkably long, can be extremely treacherous. To top it of, the waters are said to be infested with a rare form of eel which can be quite dangerous. Moderator: . Scarlet .
The Capitol The capitol is built on some of the most fertile land in all of Alcoza. It is a huge, walled fortress in which the king and his family have locked themselves away and turned a blind-eye to the problems of their country. There is a city within the walls of the capitol in which many of the kings personal friends have taken residence. Moderator: . Scarlet .

The Eastern Territories
The Mountains of Ai These mountains cover Alcoza's eastern border. They are the largest mountain range in this part of the world, and home to the highest peak in any of the surrounding countries. They are covered in snow year round and make for dangerous traveling. Combined with the Hypolian Sea, they almost close off the Alcoza-Zanzhara border, except for a relatively narrow pass between the two. Moderator: . Scarlet .

The Shari Desert The Shari is a hugely vast expansion of lifeless, arid land. It covers a large portion of the eastern side of Alcoza. It has only gotten bigger since the war with Zanzhara, since there's been occassional drouts. If you've been caught in the Shari, it is in your best interest to find the quickest way out. The Southern Territories
Colhryn River Valley The Colhryn River Valley is a fertile strip of land that surrounds a small river (the Colhryn). There are no actual mountains on one side or the other, but it is a very low point in the ground, and rolling hills surround it, making it feel like you are in a sort of bowl when you're at the center. Flash floods are common, but in good weather, it's beautiful here. Moderator: . Scarlet .

Livean Peninsula A spit of land protruding from the southern most end of Alcoza. Most of it is beach, where the sand is fine and hot, but the center of the peninsula houses a strip of forrest. The forrests are dark and seem foreboding, but within its shadowy depths some of the most beautiful foliage in Alcoza can be found. Moderator: . Scarlet .

The Western Territories
The Styne River The Styne River is far from being the largest river in Alcoza, but it is one of the swiftest, and also the longest If you trace it to its roots in the Suri Ocean you see that it is in fact quite long. It traces out much of Alcoza's south-western border. In the west, it branches off to form a large lake called Lake Pysum. The surrounding land is rich from its abundance of nutrients. Moderator: . The Plains a large, flat area in the east between two branches of the Styne River. It is miles wide, and houses several cities. The land is smooth, low and rolling, with few irregularities. The grass grows tall, but recently crops have not flourished as well as would be hoped. Moderator: . Scarlet .

The Islands
Esengo Esengo is the largest island in the kingdom. It is located off the south-western coast of the Livean Peninsula. It is large enough to sustain a small city. It is built on top of a dormant volcano, but most of the inhabitants aren't even aware, for the last erruption was more than one hundred years ago. The island is lush, for crops and foliage grow in abundance on the rich, volcano-ashen ground. It is said to be one of the most fertil areas in the kingdom, and it brings in a healthy income from its exports. There are small boats going to and from the mainland every day. Moderator: . Aeori Aeiori is much smaller than Esengo. It has very little greenery, for most of the small island is beach. It is by no means large enough to sustain any permanant residents, but it is a very popular afternoon get away, especially for children and youth. A short canoe ride can bring one to it, and then it seems like you are in a world all to yourself. Moderator: . Scarlet .

Nebros A long, narrow stretch of land not far off the coast of the Livean Penninsula. There is a small merchant port on the island, but it is rarely used. There was once a town in the middle of the island, but the land was not very profitable, and now all that remains is a ghost town. There are rumors of a hermit who lives there, but no one has ever seen him. Many youth will sneak off to Nebros to have an adventure. The abandoned, decaying buildings only add to the mystery of the small island. Moderator: . Scarlet .
Ashildr The island of Ashildr is located just south and slightly east of Nebros. It is not any bigger than Nebros, and far less amiable. The island is storm-torn and hostile. There is little plant life, and even less animal life. The waters around it are trecherous, and though it's close enough to be an easy boat ride from Nebros or Azapata, few risk it. Moderator: . Azapata Azapata is not much bigger than Aeori. However, it is a divided entity. The eastern half of the island (the half closest to Ashildr) is hostile and dry, but the western half (the side near Esengo) is fertile and inviting. There is a very small settlement on the western side of the island -- overflow from Esengo. Moderator: . Scarlet .
